This heritage walk explores the textile industry of Paisley looking at weaving and the linen, silk and cotton thread industry, along with the associated industries. Weaving can be traced back to before the reformation, while linen thread production began shortly after 1722, and the cotton thread industry in the early 1820s. The walk begins b y looking at the weaving industry at Sma’ Shot Cottages and ends out towards the Anchor Mill Complex at Seedhill.
