Halloween is upon us and our thoughts turn to dark period of Scottish witch hunting, especially so close to the anniversary of the execution of those accused during the Bargarran Witchhunt of 1696/97 on the 10th October. This Paisley & Witches Heritage Walk will take a fresh look at witch hunting connected to Paisley – looking at the myths and the truth about what happened at the time. We start our walk at the gates into Fergulsie Park at the corner of Thomas Street/ Broomlands Lane just of Ferguslie (A761) and will conclude in Paisley town centre.
