Join us over four Wednesday nights from the 12th June 2019 to explore the Medieval History of Renfrewshire. The course will look at the arrival of Christianity in the area, followed by the establishment of the county as we know it today during the 12th Century. The arrival of European Knights in Scotland following the recently crowned King David I of Scotland, into the country brought about many changes in life and law within the realm.
All Wednesday evening lectures will be held in the reception meeting room of the Mile End Mill on Seedhill Rd, PA1 1JS between 7 and 9pm
Parking is available in the Mile End Mill car park.
Although this is a 4 week course, you can come along to any of the talks, at a cost of £10 a session.
The four lectures will over:
L1 The Dark Ages in the County
2 Feudalism arrives in Renfrewshire
L3 Paisley Abbey & The management of the town to 1488
L4 Medieval to Post-Medieval Renfrewshire
