The Weavers of Renfrewshire helped propel the County of Renfrew as one of the leading textile manufacturing ares of Scotland during the late 18th and early 19th Centuries. This talk will explore the weaving landscape of the county, focusing on Kilbarchan and and the weaving centres in Paisley. We will look at the people, their jobs, hobbies and where some of them lived.

Code: UH-HT12  Date: Tuesday 13th July Time 7.30pm. Location: Online via Zoom. Zoom invites will be emailed out on the morning of the event. Booking for the Event will close at midnight on the 12th July.

Cost £7.00 per household.  By booking a ticket you accept that the Urban Historian cannot provide refunds if you are unable to attend the event as the circumstances are outwith the Urban Historian’s Control. If the event is cancelled by the Urban Historian a refund or opportunity to attend another event will be provided.
