New for the Summer of 2018
Explore Paisley’s history through two heritage walks held alternatively on a Tuesday morning or afternoon. From mid-June to the end of September walks will begin at either 10.30am or 1.30pm from the front of Paisley Abbey on Abbey Close.
Walks cost £5 (£2.50 for children over 5. Under 5 is free) and can be paid for on the day. Book online and pay your guide on the day. Our new online booking system is now available, Book your walk here

| This heritage walk will look at the origins of Paisley and it’s Abbey through to the development of the town of Paisley that we see today. Sites of interest will include textile buildings, the Abbey, location of the Great Abbey Drain, statues of Paisley people, the old county buildings and much more … | This heritage walk is a short introduction to Paisley’s textile heritage. Learn about the introduction of fine linen thread manufacturing to the town & county in 1722 through to the arrival of Coats & Clarks cotton thread manufacturers in the 19th Century. Sites of interest will include mills, wood turning shops, Georgian mansions, and buildings related to the weaving industry that made the Paisley Pattern famous. |
