Virtual Heritage Walk: Ferguslie Mills – Sat 23 Jan 3pm

Special Offer – for January: All Virtual walks now £5

UH Code: HW11

Following on from our look at Paisley’s textile industry on the 16th January, This virtual walk will look at the rise of the Fergulsie Mills in the west of the town. Dating to 1826 when James Coats established the first Cotton Mill on the site, the complex grew rapidly to become the largest thread mill site in Scotland if not the UK or the World. Using privately published works of the Coats family along with maps, and photographs we will take a brief look at the history of the site as we ‘walk’ around the surving buildings on the site.

Key details: Cost: £7 £5, Date: Sat 23rd Jan 2021, 3pm on Zoom. Once registered an invite will be sent by email a day before the sessions.

Bookings have now been closed.
